The Lion King was my favourite movie as a child. For a good few years I was singing the songs, pretending to be a lion in the playground and collecting little plastic McDonnalds toys of Simba, Timone and Pumba (okay, yes I still have them in a box somewhere).
Probably the best of the Disney movies I have seen - I think it had a great story line.. although it was quite sad for a young child. It came out around the same time my Grandad passed away, and I think in some ways it helped me understand the whole 'circle of life'.
